Superduo Beaded Boxes: A fabulous collection of beading tutorials for making little boxes with Superduos and other beads (Beadflowers Beading Patterns by Katie Dean) Paperback – January 11, 2025

Superduo Beaded Boxes, is the eighteenth book in the Beadflowers Beading Patterns series. It offers you a selection of the beaded boxes that I designed during my career as a bead artist and tutor. I have curated this collection to give you the designs I created using Superduos or other multi-holed beads. These projects were originally shared as tutorials through the Beadflowers website or online classes.The projects in this volume use a variety of different beads, including Superduos, some seed beads and delica beads and also other shaped beads, including GemDuos and PaisleyDuos. You will be using basic bead-weaving techniques: mostly Peyote stitch.The projects in here vary in difficulty, from those that could be made by intermediate beaders, to much more advanced tutorials. If you are a complete beginner, it is possible to learn these skills with time and practice. In that case, you will need to supplement this book with volume two in the Beadflowers Beading Patterns series. That volume teaches you all the basic techniques, and you can then apply them to these projects. In here, I have assumed you already have a lot of working knowledge of all the basic bead-weaving stitches.This is a book that invites you to grow your skills, so you will learn different ways of constructing boxes, and different shapes for making boxes. I take you through from basic shapes made using Superduos, to projects with distinct themes, and finish up with my incredibly popular beaded Advent Calendar. Beaded boxes are wonderful to make and create beautiful and unique gifts and family heirlooms.
